How we research and check our content
The Top Web Hosting compares web hosting providers and publishes guides on how web hosting work, what they cost and where they fall short. This page says exactly how that content is produced, what we verify, and what we do not.

What we verify
- Plan names, what each plan includes, and the optional add-ons each provider sells.
- Published pricing: intro prices with the term they require, and renewal rates, as shown on each provider’s own site or checkout at our last check.
- Resource limits, backup schedules, control panels, uptime and money-back guarantees, from each provider’s plan pages and terms of service.
- Customer review figures (Trustpilot) as captured on the date we note next to them.
- Whether a statement is supported by the source it cites, and whether the source is current.
What we do not verify
Web hosting pricing depends on the plan, term length, region and current promotion, and providers change prices often. Every price on this site is an approximate starting point, never a quote. The provider’s checkout and terms of service, not our summary, decide what you pay and what you get.
Provider rankings and “best for” verdicts are editorial, produced under the method on how we rank. We may earn a commission from provider links; that never changes a factual statement, a price or a limitation we report.
How update dates work
Each review, comparison and guide shows a “last updated” date. It changes only when the content was actually re-checked, never automatically on every page load. We re-check a page when a company changes its plans, prices or terms, or when a reader reports something out of date.
Found an error?
Tell us through our contact page, with the page address and the statement in question. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page date is updated.
Nothing on this site is professional advice. Hosting plans, prices and renewal terms vary by provider and change often. Confirm current pricing on the provider’s site before you buy.
